T.S.,
First of all, I agree with the 6 categories in which you placed Hitchcock's films.

Secondly, I think "Under Capricorn" (even though it was mildly successful) makes Hitchcock's "Jamaica Inn" look like Gone With The Wind. This is not just a bad movie for Hitchcock, but a bad movie all around."(I vice versa, the film titles in your quote)

(I think I started to "cry" while watching Hitch's "Under Capricorn" in hopes that I would soon see the word(s) "The End" or "Finis") But, your point is well taken, you just happen to think that "Jamaica Inn" is the film that leave a "bad taste" in ones' mouth!...Speaking of, "bad taste" and trying to determine which Hitch's film(s)is the worse and fits into the category of six...can only be compared to taking a taste test...For instance, I guess it's like choosing between a bottle of medicine let say, after a taste test, some people may think that bottle "A" taste disgusting and bottle "b" taste even more disgusting...(Or vice versa)

Therefore,I think it's a little matter of "taste!"...when it comes to deciding which one of Hitch'S films fits perfectly in the category of no# six!

dcd:)ratatouille's archiveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06369967577590947967noreply@blogger.com
